When the women disciples of the Lord learned from the angel the joyous message of Your Resurrection, they cast away the ancestral curse and with gladness told the apostles: death is overthrown. Christ God is risen, granting the world great mercy.
Tropar of Holy Fathers, Tone 8
You are Most Glorious, Christ our God. You have established the Holy Fathers as lights on the earth. Through them You have guided us to the True Faith. Greatly Compassionate One, glory to You.
Tropar of St. Volodymyr, Tone 4
Seated on the lofty throne of Kyiv, the Mother of Cities saved by God, you emulated the merchant who sought the precious pearl, Volodymyr, glorious in might. In examining and sending emissaries to the imperial city to learn about the Orthodox Faith, you found Christ, the Priceless Pearl, Who chose you as a second Paul. In the holy font He removed your spiritual and bodily blindness. Therefore, we, your people, celebrate your repose. Pray that Kyiv, your land, be saved and that peace and great mercy be granted to Orthodox people.
Kondak Resurrectional, Tone 4
My Savior and Redeemer as God arose from the tomb and delivered the earthborn from bondage. He has shattered the gates of Hades and, as Master, He has risen on the Third Day.
Kondak of Holy Fathers, Tone 8
The preaching of the Apostles and doctrines of the Fathers have confirmed One Faith for the Church, adorned with the Robe of Truth woven from heavenly theology. Great is the mystery of piety which it defines and glorifies.
Glory …
Kondak of St. Volodymyr, Tone 8
Emulating the great Apostle Paul in your maturity, most glorious Volodymyr and putting aside all your zeal for idols as childish thoughts, you have adorned yourself with the royal purple robe of divine baptism. And standing now in gladness before Christ the Savior, pray that Rus'-Ukraine, your land, be saved and that peace and great mercy be granted to Orthodox people.
Now and ever ...
Theotokion, Tone 6
Protection of Christians not put to shame,/ unwavering Mediation before the Creator;/ despise not the prayer of sinners,/ but because you are good, quickly come to help us who call on you in faith./ Be swift to intercede and make haste to supplicate, Birth-Giver of God,/ who always protects those who honor you.

Epistles
Deacon: Wisdom!
Reader: The reading is from the Letter of St. Paul to the Romans.
Deacon: Let us be attentive.
Reader: Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, "The man who does those things shall live by them." But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?' " (that is, to bring Christ down from above) or, " 'Who will descend into the abyss?' " (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Deacon: Wisdom!
Reader: The reading is from the Letter of St. Paul to the Galatians.
Deacon: Let us be attentive.
Reader: Brethren, but I make known to you that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ. For you have heard of my former conduct in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it. And I advanced in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries in my own nation, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers. But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb and called me through His grace, to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood, nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia, and returned again to Damascus. Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and remained with him fifteen days. But I saw none of the other apostles except James, the Lord's brother.
Priest: Peace be with you.
Reader: And with your spirit. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
Verse: The Lord, the God of gods, has spoken and summoned the earth from east to west.
