Gal. 2:16-20; Mk. 8:34-9:1;
2 Cor. 6:16–7:1; Мt. 15:21-28;

Tropar Resurrectional, Tone 8

You descended from on High, Merciful One. You accepted the three day burial to free us from our passions. Lord, our Life and Resurrection. Glory to You.

Tropar of the Feast, Tone 1

O Lord, save Your people and bless Your inheritance. Grant victory to Orthodox Christians over their adversaries; and by virtue of Your Cross, preserve Your community.

Tropar of our church, Tone 4

Prophet and Forerunner of the coming of Christ,/ we who honor you with love can find no manner of praising you worthily./ For the barrenness of one who bore you / and the silence of your father have been ended by your being born of divine grace / and you have proclaimed to the world / the Incarnation of the Son of God.

Kondak Resurrectional, Tone 8

By rising from the tomb, You raised up the dead. Adam is risen and Eve exults in Your Resurrection. The entire world celebrates Your rising from the dead, Greatly Merciful One.

Kondak of our church, Tone 3

She who was previously barren / now bears the Forerunner of Christ / who is the fulfillment of every prophecy. / For the prophets proclaimed beforehand / that having laid hands on Him in the Jordan, / he would be manifest as Prophet, / Preacher / and Forerunner of the Word of God.

Glory …
Kondak to Venerable Eumenes, Tone 4

We have you as a friend and helper,/ gracious advocate Eumenius: / For compassion flowed from you / and you pour forth healing on the Church. / Protect those who honor you.

Now and Ever …
Kondak of the Feast, Tone 4

Christ God, as You were voluntarily raised on the Cross, grant Your bounties to the new Nation bearing Your Name. Make all Your devout faithful glad through Your Power, granting them victory over their enemies through the invincible trophy, Your Weapon of Peace.

Priest: Let us be attentive! Peace be with you all!

Reader: And with your spirit!

Deacon: Wisdom!

Reader: The Prokimen in Tone 8: Pray and give glory to the Lord our God.

Choir: (repeats the prokimen)

Reader: Verse: In Judah God is known; His Name is great in Israel.

Choir: (repeats the prokimen)

Reader: The Second Prokimen in Tone 7: Exalt the Lord Our God and worship at His footstool for He is Holy.

Choir: Exalt the Lord Our God and worship at His footstool for He is Holy.

Deacon: Wisdom!

Reader: The reading is from the Letter of St. Paul to the Galatians.

Deacon: Let us be attentive.

Reader: Brethren, knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified. "But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is Christ therefore a minister of sin? Certainly not! For if I build again those things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Deacon: Wisdom!

Reader: The reading is from the Second Letter of St. Paul to the Corinthians.

Deacon: Let us be attentive.

Reader: Brethren, what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people." Therefore "Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you." "I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the LORD Almighty." Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Priest: Peace be with you.

Reader: And with your spirit. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.

Verse: Remember Your congregation which You have gathered up from old.

Verse: Come let us rejoice in the Lord. Let us shout with jubilation to God our Savior.

Instead of "It is right in truth"

Magnify, my soul, the Most Precious Cross of the Lord.

Irmos, Tone 8: You are the Mystical Paradise, Birth-Giver of God, in which Christ blossomed. Through Him the life bearing wood of the Cross was planted on the earth. Now at its exaltation, as we venerate it, we magnify You.

Communion Hymns

Praise the Lord from the heavens, praise Him in the Highest. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.

Illumine us, Lord, with the light of Your Countenance. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
