Tropar Resurrectional, Tone 3
Let the heavens rejoice. Let the earth be glad. For the Lord has shown strength with His Arm. He has trampled Death by death. He has become the First-born of the Dead. He has delivered us from the depths of Hades and has granted the world great mercy.
Tropar of our church, Tone 4
Prophet and Forerunner of the coming of Christ,/ we who honor you with love can find no manner of praising you worthily./ For the barrenness of one who bore you / and the silence of your father have been ended by your being born of divine grace / and you have proclaimed to the world / the Incarnation of the Son of God.
Tropar to Great-martyr, Tone 8
We honour the holy Barbara, for she broke the snares of the enemy and escaped from them like a bird, with the help and aid of the Cross, O all holy one.
Tropar to Ven. John, Tone 8
Instructor of Orthodoxy, you are the teacher of piety and purity, the beacon for the whole world and divinely inspired adornment of monastic's, O John, you illumined all, by your teachings, O harp of the Spirit, beseech Christ God, that our souls be saved.
Kondak Resurrectional, Tone 3
On this day You rose from the tomb, Merciful One, leading us from the gates of death. On this day Adam exults as Eve rejoices. With the prophets and patriarchs they unceasingly praise the divine majesty of Your Power.
Kondak of our church, Tone 3
She who was previously barren / now bears the Forerunner of Christ / who is the fulfillment of every prophecy. / For the prophets proclaimed beforehand / that having laid hands on Him in the Jordan, / he would be manifest as Prophet, / Preacher / and Forerunner of the Word of God.
Kondak to Great-martyr, Tone 4
You followed God Who is piously hymned in Trinity, O athlete, you muted the pagan temples, and, suffered martyrdom, O Barbara of manly mind, you did not fear the threats of the torturers, and proclaimed aloud, I worship the Trinity, the One God.
Glory …
Kondak to Ven. John, Tone 4
Let us hymn John, the honoured and divinely eloquent speaker and hymnographer, the instructor and teacher of the Church, the opponent of the enemy, for taking up the Cross of the Lord as a sword, he has cut down all the falsehood of heresies, and as a fervent intercessor before God he bestowed forgiveness of transgressions upon all.
Now and Ever …
Theotokion, Tone 6
Protection of Christians not put to shame,/ unwavering Mediation before the Creator;/ despise not the prayer of sinners,/ but because you are good, quickly come to help us who call on you in faith./ Be swift to intercede and make haste to supplicate, Birth-Giver of God,/ who always protects those who honor you.

Epistles
Deacon: Wisdom!
Reader: The reading is from the Letter of St. Paul to the Colossians.
Deacon: Let us be attentive.
Reader: Brethren, giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.
Deacon: Wisdom!
Reader: The reading is from the Letter of St. Paul to the Galatians.
Deacon: Let us be attentive.
Reader: Brethren, before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Priest: Peace be with you.
Reader: And with your spirit. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
Verse: Lord, in You have I hoped; let me never be put to shame.
Verse: Be a God of protection for me, a house of refuge, to save me.
Verse: With patience have I waited patiently for the Lord; and He was attentive to me and listened to my supplication.
Communion Hymns
Praise the Lord from the heavens, praise Him in the Highest. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
The righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance. They shall not be afraid of any evil report. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
